need help setting up TV w/ phillips HDTV receiver?
My Grandparents got a new LCD TV, but they dont have either cable, or satellite. So Grandpa got a “Phillips MANT940 indoor/outdoor UHV/VHF Television antenna” its a grey rectangle shaped plastic box, that you are supposed to attach to the wall or a pole outside, and then should be able to get a better quality of TV reception.
My problem is that I dont know how to make it actually work. we have everything plugged in, but the TV doesnt seem to acknowledge that it’s plugged in, and certainly doesnt get reception.
Help? I will answer questions, I’m just not sure what else to say about it…

I dont have any idea where the transmitter is, or how far to the nearest TV signal, I’m really talking about what settings to use, cause I cant get it to do anything…..
Whether this antenna will work, or not, depends on how far you are from the transmitters, and whether there’s anything in the way-trees, buildings, Etc. You don’t give a clue as to your location, or that of the transmitters. Update your post with more information.
