Cracked camera screen?
I have a Canon Rebel T1i and the screen now has a big crack in it. It was in my camera bag and I had a lock on the opposite side of the bag and it slid under the wall.
It’s only the glass not the LCD (I think) because I can still see all of the images perfectly, its just the glass that is cracked.
I want to get it repaired and I was wondering what you think would be the best way to go about doing so? Sending it to Canon? A local repair shop?
Also, do you know around how much it would cost?
And (last question, aha) in the future how could I protect the screen better?
Thanks!
Canon would be who I would choose.
Usually buying a padded camera case or just take precautions like most of us do. Many of us treat our cameras as a doll collector would do with their porcelain dolls
A blow, strong enough to crack an LCD, could do other damage as well.
