Where do plug in the cables for sound from laptop using RCA on a LG LCD TV?
Hey, I know the title sounds a bit confusing, i had trouble thinking it up.
Ok so, I have a new Lenovo notebook and i want to display the movies I have on it on my LG LCD TV. I went and brought a VGA cable, it works fine, the picture is perfect. So now i need a way to get sound from the laptop to the tv. I went and brought a product similar to this:

Which is a 3.5mm Stereo Male to Two RCA Male Y-Cable. So I plugged the 3.5mm into the laptop, it fits perfectly into the headphones jack. Then i went to plug in the red and white plugs into the back of the Tv. Now heres the thing. I dont know where to plug them in, ive tried every red and white jack i could find. Another person said to plug them into the red and white jacks right next to the VGA jack. But on my LG tv there is none next to it.
Please help?

Without knowing what model TV you have, this will be just a shot in the dark. Some TVs will have a 3.5mm jack next to the VGA input instead of the stereo RCA jacks. If that’s the case you’ll just need to purchase a 3.5 male to male cable. If this is not the case, let me know what model TV you have and I’ll research it for you. Good luck!
