How does the sizing on a plasma or LCD widescreen TV compare to the old square ones?
I’d like to replace an old 32″ 4:3 TV with a new 16:9 plasma or LCD. However, I would need the flatscreen to fit into the space in a cabinet where the 32″ is sitting right now. Is a 32″ widescreen TV the same width as a 32″ full screen TV or is it a bit larger, since it’s both are measured diagonally?
the widescreen will be wider but shorter. if it needs to fit in the same space you’ll need a smaller tv. if you got 2 tvs that were both 32″ then the 4:3 would be tall and thin, while the 16:9 would be shorter but wider.
